The S185 has three tools on board, brushed edge cleaning, a powerful 12-amp motor and six-stage micron filtration.
Unlike other vacuums, where the stream of dirt, paper clips and coins that are picked up pass through the fan of the motor (likely to cause major damage to the expensive component), Miele uprights are protected with a unique motor bypass system. This means that debris brought into the machine bypasses the motor housing. Such design protects the motor and increases longevity of the machine.
A unique front edge-cleaning strip provides full-width cleaning of base-boards and moldings.
The S185 features an IntensiveClean dustbag that closes when you take it out so dust and dirt do not escape back into your home or get into your vacuum's motor.
The Smooth Floor Switch allows you to turn off the self-adjusting brush roll, enabling you to clean both carpets and bare floor.
